I’ll average the times, see how their pace compares.

The GT test had an agreement where they were all on the same tire. Did his, or were they on the stock rubber that came with the car?

Harris’ test had control Pirellis for the P1 and F70. The 918 is on Pilot SC2.

Interesting. It looked like the Belgian had some issues keeping the P1 under control. He got that car really squirrelly in places the Ferrari The Ferrari & 918 were composed.

I haven’t watched the show, kid. I’ve yet to see the entire thing. But I have a feeling that their driver is not Lucas di Grassi, Sebastian Buemi, or Nic Prost.

So that nets us an average of...
918 —> 1:54.09
F70—> 1:54.30
P1 —-> 1:54.53
Using the P1's Trofeo-R time...
P1 —-> 1:53.64
Huh. That’s a bit strange.

I never take these times seriously. They’re driven by people who aren’t used to every little intricacy of the car since they only get a limited amount of time with them. That’s my problem with people like Randy Pobst. Even if they’re pro racers, every racer has a very particular preference in car setup that suits them. By putting them in a new car, you’re essentially taking them out of their element (Donny).
Get some drivers from each manufacturer who knows how to drive the piss out of the car and clock those times. Or, you know, GTD. Then you’ll have my attention.

I agree that every racer has their personal preference, but the best racers have the ability to maximize a car’s performance after a few laps of shaking it out. Also, there’s something to be said about being able to get a fast time out of a car that you’ve just gotten in for the first time 10 minutes prior.
That said, a factory driver getting the absolute best time out of a car, like on the ‘Ring, is probably the best true comparison of a certain car’s ultimate performance vs. any other car.

Ahem
MICHELIN IS BEST TIRE HEHE
I’m surprised the Porsche won at a track where the Laf’s power advantage should overpower itz
